  Based on Seiko’s world-renowned SNXS sports watch, the new series was developed with the concept of EDC (Everyday Carry), something you carry every day. While retaining the characteristic case shape and the small crown at the 4 o’clock position that doesn’t interfere with the flowing case shape, there are also various improvements, and the series has evolved. The sporty dial features an orange seconds hand, which was used in many 5 Sports watches in the 1970s. The multi-faceted hour and minute hands reflect light while imparting a strong presence. Lumibrite is applied on the upper surface of the 11 bar indexes and the hour and minute hands. The case’s low center of gravity ensures a more comfortable fit, and contrasting hairline and mirror finishes contribute to a sense of stylishness while exuding high quality. The newly developed metal bracelet gives a classical impression that is both new and nostalgic.

  Introduced in 1969, the Seiko Speedtimer was a major milestone in chronograph innovation, and marked the beginning of an important decade of the Speedtimer in its prime. One piece from the first 6139 Speedtimerseries rose to stardom as the first automatic chronograph to travel in space: in the 70s, NASA astronaut Colonel William Pogue took the original chronograph on a mission to Skylab - the first US space station. The watch became nicknamed the ‘Pogue’ after its star explorer wearer. Under a curved sapphire crystal glass is a vivid yellow dial, characteristic of the 6139 original. Accurately recreating the 'Pogue,' the second hand, and subdial minute hand at 6 o'clock are in a bright red. With 12 spots of Lumibrite, this timepiece is designed to be legible in darker conditions. In the style of the original, this piece has a blue and red aluminium bezel with a tachymeter feature and a chronometer second scale on the inside dial ring. Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’
